8 People Can Use The Same Msn Dial Up Account

Hey this is awesome!!
Now 8 People Can Use The Same Msn Dial Up Account.

Its easy really. You want to have an entire family on dial-up with just one bill?

Step 1.
Purchase 20 dollar a month subscription to MSN unlimited access dial up. This will include an MSN 9 cd which you will need. With the software installed, fill up your secondary account slots with new users. Make sure you pick @msn if it gives you the choice, hotmail email addresses will not work..
say the secondary account is johnsmith@msn.com type in the Dial up connection

USER : MSN/johnsmith
PASS: ******* (whatever)

Now connect to your local msn phone number and the other people you gave secondary accounts to will be able to do the same, while you are connected. Its a sweet deal considering everyone is paying about 2 bucks a month for internet access, especially if you cannot get broadband. if you wanted to sell off the access to people you could actually make money doing this.. but i do not suggest it.

This was a little known secret even to most of the Msn employees.
After you do this you do not need the software any more. I would suggest keeping it on to micromanage everyone else's accounts. and for the simple fact that if they don't pitch in, cut them off HEHEHE
i'm on broadband now so i dont care if i tell you my little secret. anyone else knew of this?

5 Time-saving Tips In Microsoft Word

Whether you have used Microsoft Word for years, have just switched from WordPerfect or are new to word processing, try these easy steps to save time and simplify your work in Word: Turn off Personalized Menus and Toolbars

Although it is a default, Personalized Menus and Toolbars is a terrible "feature" which limits your initial view to select toolbar buttons and menu commands. Do you only have one row of toolbars at the top of the screen? When you click on a menu, does it expand only after a few seconds? If so, you will save yourself a lot of frustration by turning off this personalized display:

1. Choose Tools > Customize, and click on the Options tab.

2. For the section, Personalized Menus and Toolbars, check/select the options "Show Formatting and Standard toolbars on two rows" and "Always show full menus." Note: in Microsoft Word 2000, you will need to Uncheck each of these options (the descriptions are a bit different too).

3. Pick Close to see a full display of your main toolbars and your menus.

Stop Automatic Text Changes

Does it seem like Word randomly changes the capitalization or spelling of text in a document? AutoCorrect is to blame. As the name indicates, AutoCorrect automatically corrects the spelling of common misspelled words but also makes other changes including capitalizing the first letter in a sentence, table cell, or line of text. To review your choices, pick Tools > AutoCorrect Options, choose the AutoCorrect tab and uncheck any option that gets in the way of typing your text.

Stop Automatic Numbered Lists (and More)

Have you ever tried to create your own numbered list or outline and watched the numbering or formatting change once you press [Enter] for the next line? This is a huge annoyance for anyone that wants to build their own custom layout for an outline rather than working with the choices in Word. Do you type your e-mail address or website into a document and then watch as it suddenly changes to blue underlined text (a hyperlink)? Do you ever enter fractions or quotes that automatically re-format? You are a victim of AutoFormat As You Type. To customize Word so that it works for you and not against you:

1. Choose Tools > AutoCorrect Options
2. Select the AutoFormat As You Type tab. I recommend that you uncheck all of the options in the last 2 sections including Automatic numbered lists. Turn off choices in the 1st section as desired.
3. Pick OK to finish.

Each of the formatting options that you turn off can still be added when you want them. For instance, automatic numbered lists can be created via a toolbar button or under the Format menu.

Modifying Your Default Font

Are you frequently changing the font in your documents? Take a few minutes to change the default font used for new documents:

1. Create a new, blank document.
2. Choose Format > Font. Change the font from the standard Times New Roman 12 point to the style and size you want such as Arial 12 point.
3. Next, don't pick OK which only changes the current document. Instead, choose Default.
4. You will see a prompt asking if you want to change the default font. This change will modify the normal template also known as the normal.dot file which stores many of the Microsoft Word settings. Select Yes to confirm the changes.

Customizing Page Layout and Margins

Ever since the days of Word 1.0, the default margins for a document have been 1" for the top and bottom and 1.25" for the left and right margins even though most people prefer 1" margins for each side. It's also easy to change the settings for margins regardless of what you like to work with:

1. Continue with a new, blank document.
2. File > Page Setup, and pick the Margins tab.
3. Change the margins to 1" all around or your most frequently used choices.
4. Make other changes in these dialog tabs. For instance, you might want to set a custom footer or make changes to the Paper source.
5. To set your custom defaults for all new, blank documents, pick the Default button.
6. As before, you will be prompted to confirm the change to the normal template. Choose Yes to continue.

Using google to hack, crack, and just plain find what you need

Before we begin, I strongly recommend reading through http://www-db.stanford.edu/~backrub/google.html
#This article will help you understand the inner workings of a search engine (if you're not already ereet)
#I added a copy of this article to the end of this text, so just scroll down a little ways :)

What is this tutorial about?

-It's about using google to get the information you need, fast

Why should I read it?

-Because at the end of this tutorial, you'll be able to use google to find WHATEVER you need!

Why are you writing it?

-Because all of the ereet programmers at irc.smart-dev.com/irc.zoite.net are tired of people asking us questions,
when they could just ask lord google

Do I need to gather any tools for this tutorial?

-A web browser (i.e. lynx, mozilla), and confidence in the fact that you aren't inept

Now the 'tutorial'

Google is the shit. You can find virtually ANYTHING you want with it. "©2003 Google - Searching 3,083,324,652 web
pages" as of Sunday, February 16, 2003! I use google for pretty much anything. Any question you have can be answered
90% of the time in the first 20 results, if you search properly. In the next few sections I will be going over some
basic/advanced/UBER COOL techniques for searching.

I.Getting started

-Open your web browser, and goto www.google.com (if it isn't your homepage, which it should be!)
-Now, click on preferences- Most of this should be fine preset, but make sure you fill in the "do not filter my
search results," and select 100 results per page from the drop down menu, then fill in the last bubble (if thats
your thing). Click save preferences (note: they will only be saved if you have cookies enabled).

-Now that you have everything set up, let's see everything google has to offer (because google has a slew of useful
tools). First theres the web search, which is the topic of this article. After that theres the image search, which
is pretty useful if you want to find a picture of someone you know (I will go into detail later on), or if you just
wannt to find some free porn! Sicko. Next up: Groups. I LOVE this feature! You can search year, and years, and years,
of posts on USENET discussion boards. I have gotten SO much valuable information (mostly stuff to help me crack my
target) just by using this feature. I will also go indepth on this feature as well. Next to last: Directory searching.
This is pretty useful if you want to find information on a TOPIC. For instance if you wanted to do a biology project
on genetic disorders you would use this. Last up: News. This is a fairly new feature, added a few months ago. It
tells you how recent articles are (by the hour, pretty cool!). You can look at world news on World, U.S., buisness,
Science/Tech, Sports, Entertainment, and Health.

II.Google for Web searches
(BASIC)
-Well, you've got a broad sense of what google does, so lets get right into the specifics! I can hardly wait!

A. Deciding on keywords
-Try specific keywords first (i.e. search for elephant as opposed to animals)
-Make searches as specific as you can.
-Keep searches as specific as you can!
+Note: The more specific you want your search to be, the more words you need, and you'll get less results
(this can be a bad or good thing)

B. How it works
-When you search for hacker tutorials, google interprets it as hacker AND tutorials, so it returns only pages
with all of the keywords you entered by default
-When you search for tutorials for hackers, the word for is omitted, as are all other words like if, a, who,
what, when, where, and how. If you need to include a common word in your search phrase use a '+' before the
common word. Your search is now tutorials +for hackers.
+note: google is not case sensitive
+note: google does not use wildcards (searching for googl* will not return google)
(ADVANCED)

A. ""'s
-Using quotations is probably the most important part of an advanced search. You can really control the
results of your search using quotes. When you use quotes, all of your results will contain the exact phrase.
So if you were to search "Tutorial for hacking" Google would search 3,083,324,652 web sites for that exact
phrase.
-You can put part of your search in quotes, and the other a regular search. For instance, if I wanted to find
out what pages my friend that just happens to be a girl is on the internet, I would search "Firstname
Lastname" Thomas Dale. This would search for the exact phrase "her name" and then it would search for any
pages that contained the words Thomas Dale(Thomas Dale is my highschool).

+Find me! My name is alejandro(alex), and i'm part of the smart-dev community ;)
B. "-"'s

-Using '-' to omit results. Perhaps you're searching for a new type of password file, for a new webserver.
The password file is called passwerd.db, but when you do a simple in title search(just keep reading, you'll
understand later) all you get is a bunch of results that turn out to be a config file that has syntax
referring to passwerd.db. Lets say this config file is named config(go figure). Omit this from your search
simply by searching searchstring -config and viola you get a list of sites that display passwerd.db to the
public! You can also use the boolean term NOT.
(HACKING/CRACKING)

Yay! This is why I wrote this article!

INTRO TO HACKING/CRACKIGN WITH GOOGLE
-Many of you probably already know this, but you can hack/crack with google. I use it in 100% of the
hacks/cracks I perform. You can use google to help you hack/crack in a few different ways. I will discuss
these in the sections below ("no shit!")

A. intitle:
-This is a built in function in google that searches for your phrase in the title of a web page. The
title of a webpage is in the upper left of your current window. (you should see google.txt if someone
hasnt changed the name). This is useful if you want to find something VERY specific.
-examples: intitle:"billing" intitle:"payments" intitle:"passwd"
B. Directory Indexing

-One GREAT trick is to find sites that allow directory indexing. This can be done by searching
intitle:"index of" phrase. Your mind should now be about to explode with the possibilities this could
hold. If it doesn't, that's ok, because if you look at the end of this article you'll see i've
provided you with an uber cool list! Here are some basic phrases you can use: intitle:"index of"
"passwd" OR "passwd.txt" OR "AutismIsSoCool!". This searches for files named passwd or if that isnt
found, searches for passwd.txt or if that isnt found searches for AutismIsCool! Think original, and
you can come up with the coolest stuff! I'm not just talking about passwords... I'm talking about
warez, passwords, and even credit card numbers!!! (although to be honest it's not easy ;))

C. allinurl:
-Guess what this does! Basically I use this when I want to find a piece of software. When i'm at school we
have some stupid web site filter, that doesn't allow me to download AIM (AOL instant messenger uhhh tm) so
basically I just do a search for allinurl:"aim.exe" and I get to take my pick! This can also be used for
passwd, passwd.txt, and so on

D. Cache
-Perhaps you have been searching for intitle:"index of" etc/shadow, and you see what looks like a valid
shadow file in your results list, but you cant access it, because you arent root, or whatever. Well thanks to
google cache, it may be possible for you to view this file. Just click the little chached link under the
result!
+note: this doesnt work 100% of the time

E. Collecting info on your target

-You can use google to find all sorts of juicy information about your target. For instance, if you wanted to
know what @target.com addresses were on the site, just search "@target.com" site:www.target.com. You should
get a nice list of email addresses. (these can double as usernames for other things besides emails)
-GOOGLE GROUPS is a great way to get info on a target. Just click the groups tab and search for @target.com,
and you will see everything anyone from your target has EVER posted on a usenet board! This is a real good
one!

THATS IT! THAT'S THE WHOLE TUTORIAL!

Summary: Well I hope you learned something from this article. Wether you were a complete noob, an advanced internet user,
or an ereet hacker, I tried to teach you all something. Remember- don't ever give up after only a few minutes of
searching... You'll get the right combination of keywords sooner or later. Just try to imagine what words you would use
for the item you are trying to find ;). Now GO! I officialy deem you "Google lord!"

Useful Hacking Tricks

To see the ip all computers you are connected to (web servers, people attempting to hack into your computer).
Go to dos (start>run>type command) and run the netstat command. Type netstat /? for details.
Type netstat -r at the command prompt to see the ip of all computers you are connected to

In MSN (and other programs) when you are chatting to someone everything you type goes through the MSN servers first (they act as a proxy) so you see their ip rather than who you are chatting to. You can get round this by sending them a file as MSN doesn't send file through its proxy.
When you type the netstat -r (or -a for a different view) the ip's are under the foreign address table. The ports are separated by a : . Different programs use different ports, so you can work out which ip's are from which program.
Connecting to other computers and what ports are:--

Servers send information. Clients retrieve. Simple.
Windows comes with a built in program to connect to other computers called telnet.
To start Windows telnet Start menu> Run> type Telnet. Click connect> remote system
Ports are doors into computers. Hosts are computer names
(ip number or a name that is translated into the ip automatically)
Different programs open different ports, but they always open the same ports so other computers know which port to connect to. You can get a port list listing all the different ports, but a basic one is:
11 :- Sends info on the computer
21 :- FTP (File transfer program)
23 :- Telnet (Login to the computers command line)
25 :- Smtp (Sends mail)
80 :- Http (Web pages)
There are thousands of different programs using different ports. You can get programs called port scanners which check a computer for all ports up to a certain number, looking for ways in. You can port scan a computer looking for ways-in.
Anyway, back to telnet.
Type http://www.yahoo.com as the host and port as 80 the click connect.
If nothing happens, you're in. Wow. You are connected to Yahoo's server.
You can now type http commands (you are connected to an http server, so it supports http commands). Ie. on an ftp server you can type open and it will do something. On an http server it will just wonder what the hell you are on about.
Type get / http/1.0 then press enter twice to get the file on the server at / (try /index.html) etc.)
Allowing dos and regedit in a restricted Windows

See http://blacksun.box.sk/tutorials/format....ndows.html for some very cool tactics.
A very simple tactic I found after accidentally locking myself out of dos and regedit is to open notepad and type the following:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesWinOldApp]
"Disabled"=dword:0
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem]
"DisableRegistryTools"=dword:0

Save it as something.reg then run it. Simple.

Making non deletable, unreadable folders

Tested on Windows 95/98
By holding down alt, then typing numbers on the number pad (right of the keyboard) you can create special characters. If you hold down alt, then press 1, then let go, you got the ascii character 1. You try some random numbers. This goes all the way up to 255. Open a dos prompt, and type md (alt+1+9+4)some word. md is the dos command to make a directory, now try and open the directory in Windows, you can't. To open it, type ren (alt+1+9+4)some word some word (ren is the dos command to rename)

Proxies

Proxies are computers that you connect through, hiding your computer. Most aren't anonymous, they give away your ip. Some are. Good anonymous proxies: mail.uraltelecom.ru:8080 and 194.247.87.4:8080.
Different programs require different ways of using proxies. To do it in internet explorer 5 go to tools, internet options, connections, settings. In the above proxies they are in the format host:port

Password files
If you lock yourself out of Windows stuff, all passwords are stored in files called *.pwl in C:windows. In Unix, passwords are normally stored at etc/passwd. This can be viewed using the cat command (prints a file to screen): cat etc/passwd. Make sure you're passwords are shadowed (not actually in etc/passwd). Also make sure they aren't in a file called shadow, especially not in a file called etc/shadow.
Unix passwords are encrypted far better than Windows one's (to be fair, Windows 95 isn't designed for users), but can still be cracked through a program called jon.

Securing your website
Ftp Ftp is how you upload your web site, if someone finds out the password they can add/ delete anything. Brute forcing is the most common ftp attack, where a program guesses every possible combination (or from a list of words). An eight letter alpha-numeric word is almost impossible to crack, as the process is slow.
The real problem is with server side scripting. Pages other than plain html (ie. pages that perform commands on the host) are a security risk. The main problems are scripts that write to pages (guest books etc.). If when the guest book is viewed it has a .shtml extension, then it can execute commands. Eg. a malicious visitor could place
Everything happens for a reason, If you didn't make the decisions you made then. You wouldn't be who you are today.
Always Remember...
No Regrets!
